Elisa Vincent 8 years ago

A camera would be every traveller's favourite gadget. Most of us come back from every vacation with a stock pile of photos; some candid, some blurry, some couple shots, and of course some selfies! However, while you’re busy enjoying your break, it is easy to forget about capturing the right moments.

Make time for a few necessary ones like these below as they might be your memory archive for years to come!

One before take-off!

This shot is essential to mark the beginning of your vacation! With all the excitement that’s building up, you’re sure to get a really happy picture here. With a little bit of emphasis on the boarding pass, this photo will also turn out to be your go to when you try to remember the dates of the trip sometime later!

One of all the travellers

This one is vital when you travel with a big group. Since once person will always volunteer to take the pictures, invariably there will be one person missing in all your photos. Get help to click one that has all the travellers as this might just turn out to be your favourite memorabilia from the holiday.  It goes without saying that even while travelling as a couple, click one of the two of you!

One showing your goofy side

Goofy photos always bring out a good laugh not just while looking at them years later, but also while clicking them. By clowning around for some pics, you will end up creating memories without even realising it at the moment!

One with the landmarks

If you’re visiting any prominent landmarks, click one of it and with it! Some people end up clicking a lot of pictures focusing on the landmark and forget to click one in front of it and vice versa. Make sure you get help to click one of the whole group in front of all the prominent landmarks.

One of the sunset

The orange glow of the sun during sunset makes everything a little more beautiful. A lovely capture of the sunset from your vacation spot will make a perfect holiday postcard for your family!

Some of the food

If you’re in an experimental mood and trying out some of the native delicacies, don’t forget to click a picture with your plate full. Not just as a reminder of what you ate, it will also be perfect while narrating your holiday experiences to someone else.

One showcasing the culture

A shot of the busy streets, buzzing market place, or tranquil beaches unique to the location are great in giving an insight into the culture of the new place.

One of those cliched shots

There are some photos which we can categorise as the mandatory ones. Don’t neglect them for being cliched as they are so for a reason! Some might seem funny, some overdone, but to tick things off your bucket list, you need these!

And of course the candid ones!

Break all the norms of photography and click away when you spot someone in the middle of a good laugh, making a funny face, lost in thought or goofing around! These candid ones are going to be your most prized possessions from the trip.

Although it is important that you enjoy the moment and not waste too much time on getting the perfect click, it is also essential that you click at least some of these photos as keepsakes. However, a faulty camera can play spoilsport while you try to capture these memories. Therefore, before going for your holiday, it is essential that you take your camera to a service centre to ensure its best functioning.
