Play It Right! Do's And Don'ts While Choosing Your Wedding Band

A proper, well-organised wedding has good food, prearranged events, engaging activities and most of all, the best wedding band. Make your wedding a memorable one, not just for you but also for your guests. Follow these do’s and don’ts:

Do’s

1. Play music that celebrates your culture and tradition

Embracing your culture and enhancing your overall wedding set-up will not only make you happy but your guests too. If any music is special in your culture, you can evidently go for it. Make sure you cover not just the cultural music and keep in mind the other aspects too.

2. Ask for a demo and see if they are crowd-pleasers

You have to make sure the DJ or the wedding band you’re hiring are engaging enough. If you want your wedding to be an interesting and exciting one, you need to make sure you have hired the right ones. Ask for a video demo to know the exact feel their work is to give you.

3. Plan the band’s breaks

It is important to have a set of tunes or songs to play when the band takes a break or leaves for dinner. Make sure the band doesn’t take breaks during important sessions of your marriage. It is better if you have a compilation CD or pen drive to suffice even if the party continues after the wedding band leaves.

4. Organise a proper list of songs

It is important to have a list of songs ready to give your band. But don’t restrict them to play only the songs from your list. They’re experienced people and may know a lot more wedding songs. It is also important to make a list with both old and new songs. In this way, you will involve a larger number of onlookers.

Don’ts

1. Have a silent wedding

Curtly, a silent wedding is a sad wedding. For every occasion in your wedding, you need to have memories to look back at. And music helps you with that. It is customary to have a relative or a friend get hold of a mike and scream their hearts out in any wedding reception. Make sure your band hosts them gladly.

2. Have death or breakup songs

After 10 years when you look back at your wedding cassette, would you want it to be a memory filled with glee and happy songs or sad ones? Yes, you got the answer. No matter how much you or your bride/groom love one particular sad song, do not include it in the playlist. But, it is okay to add some soothing, soft music in the playlist that can be played now and then.

3. Forget your budget

Do not forget the cost factor. Not just in deciding your wedding band, but for the whole ceremony. Some of the music related expenses include instrumentalists, vocalists, live musicians (if any), and DJs. If you aren’t careful enough in deciding your budget according to the needs, you may bust your budget.

4. Rush

Remember that haste makes waste. A quality, celebrated and well-received wedding will have properly planned events and hosts with patience. Good time management skills and organisational skills are required to have a successful wedding. Good wedding groups may get booked fast so make sure you book your preferred band well in advance.

Not everyone will have the opportunity to have a wonderful, unforgettable and a terrific wedding. Avail the services of the best Wedding Music Bands and have your dream wedding come true!
