IGIAT - Indo German Institue of Advanced Technology has been set up in Visakhapatnam as a partnership project of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, Govt. of Germany and Gayatri Vidya Parishad (a reputed educational trust in Visakhapatnam). The primary objective of the institute is to act as a finishing school and to provide training in advanced technologies to the students of various educational institutes, job seekers and technical personnel with a special focus on the disadvantaged groups of the Society. Our Vision: To become a Nerve Centre of Industry for empowering the community through advanced technologies. Our Mission: To provide high-quality and employment-oriented training & qualification, consultancy and related services in advanced technologies aimed at making Industry globally competitive and at improving the employability of technical personnel including the disadvantaged groups of the society. The courses have been designed with the active participation of Industry and German experts. Budding Engineers and Technicians are being exposed to industry class equipment and are made ready to take up production assignments at the end of the course. Many industries in and around Andhra Pradesh have appointed their engineers for training. IGIAT is also taking up doing job-works from the industry in the areas of Welding, CNC machining, CAD/CAM services, surveying with Total Station, GIS applications and providing consultancy services in related areas. Many organisations have identified IGIAT as the nodal agency for executing their programs for reaching out to the underprivileged sections of the society.
