Studying a course at the prestigious IITs is a dream come true for many. This will perfectly launch your career on the right trajectory. Getting enrolled into the IITs is a hard nut to crack and those who do that are special there is no doubt about it.
IITs not only offer engineering and tech-related courses but other programmes too. One such is the course on Humanities and Social Sciences. And, what not, as expected thousands of students vie for few seats in the IITs.
The students have to clear the Human and Social Sciences EntranceExamination (HSEE) to gain entry into the IITs. It is an all-India entrance test and students from across the country will be appearing for it.
Let’s take a look at the pattern and syllabus of HSEE.
As noted earlier, it is Human and Social Sciences Entrance Examination. Class XII students who satisfy the eligibility criteria can appear for the test to gain admission to a five-year integrated Master’s programme in humanities. The progamme leads to award of MA in economics, development studies or English. The alumni of the IITs can walk the corridors of high-profile corporates, banking institutions and research organizations, among others with ease.
The entrance test consists of two parts and is of three hours duration.
Part one consists of objective type questions and the duration is 2hrs and 30 minutes. Part two is essay writing and duration will be 30 minutes.
