Passion Or Profession? Why Not Both?

I cannot neglect the fact that my love for travel is more than the desire for photography. So what? Who can say no if I can merge both of them and change it as my career?

Hi, I am Gautham from Madurai, a wedding photographer by profession and a traveller by passion. I am the founder of Crimson Butterfly Studio, a photography company. I’ve done several photoshoots, and in all my photographs, one main thing that plays the soul part is the location. Such is my love for the world and its beautiful space.

Let me explain this particular shoot…
A misty climate and a clear sky – what else do a photographer need to host a romantic pre-wedding photoshoot? Yes, the below photoshoot is one of a kind, and I can cherish those moments for a long time now.

Though all photoshoots demand care and work-dedication, this one is close to my heart. This place in Idukki district is called Adimali. There, at the top of the cliffy edged mountain, the network coverage was zero, and hence the major distraction like mobile phones/ laptops didn’t have any work over there. The entire day, all we had in mind was the pictures that are overwhelmed with love and chemistry to come out well.

I would call this photoshoot as the adventurous one too. Firstly, there was a small forest fire around the town that we had to panic a little in the beginning. But thankfully the spread was quite small and manageable. (But, to those who read this – Never risk your life during photo shooting if the situation is in uncontrollable position.) And then, we took off the shoot in the most romantic way.

The couple belongs to Allepey. They were wisely dressed up in bright yellow, and the girl whose head draped with a scarf provided a high definition to the picture and the background as well.

I must say the combination of the location cuddled by the green mountains, the couple surrounded by the vibes of love, and myself determined to capture the beauty of both of these worked out so well.

Another thrilling aspect of this photoshoot was the end. Yes, once we decided to pack up the shoot from the estate is when we found the sticky leeches that got adhered to our legs. But thankfully, none was hurt.

On the whole, that was one excellent experience freezing their lovely memories.

Apart from that, there are places that I love clicking pictures. I will term them as my comfort zones — areas like Kodaikanal, Munnar, Vagamon, etc. Notably, the marine drive spot in Kochin is used for drone shots during sunsets can be beautifully portrayed. Adding to this, the private islands near Alleppey are also the best spots to conduct pre-wedding photoshoots.
