Our Pedagogy Preparations for the university examinations differ entirely from preparing for civil services. A candidate for the Civil Services Examination does not have much time at his desk. The first way to knock the door of success is to find 3R’s: Right materials, Right approach, Right nuances of the examination etc., Apart from this, a dedicated preparation for about one year, will bring much more confidence for the aspirants to crack this nutshell. Since very few candidates would have been preparing like that, SAI IAS emphasises on the nature of the preparation to be made, the questions on UPSC standard, how to tackle them and evoke their interest in the various areas of knowledge. All these dimensions of guidance would be projected as the teachers talk to the students in the settings as per the schedule. Apart from the lectures of the teacher, there will be worksheet modules before SAI IAS test series, and it is compulsory for the members to attempt them. Once the worksheets are completed, it will give the aspirants a clear concept over the respective subjects and provide greater confidence to approach the test series. Finally, the aspirants are allowed to go for the test on every weekend. The concerned teachers will do a review of these tests in the settings that are scheduled. Once, the mistakes committed by aspirants are pointed out, it is expected of them not to commit the same errors while attempting the second set of tests. What SAI IAS has in its repertory is not a bag of tricks or shortcuts. Instead, what it aims at is to help its aspirant to understand the underlying concepts clearly what they studied as part of their curriculum in school days.
