Washingtonne Hygienik Pvt Ltd, India is a land of a billion people. The traditional means of washing and drying clothes meant giving clothes to your neighborhood dhobhi or washer man.The Washer man/woman would take the clothes to the dhobhighat to get it washed. However this was done in rather unhygienic conditions and the same water was reused multiple times.In addition the process involved beating the clothes with a mallet or pelting the fabric against stones or in the wash pens. Post the rinsing, the clothes are left to dry in the hot sun. This left many people with a feeling that their clothes were not treated well and the quality of water was highly circumspect. However, out of sight was out of mind and customer did not bother much due to lack of efficient alternatives, as long as the work got done. Years later the washing machine as a device for washing and drying clothes at home made its foray into Indian households. This changed the landscape, quite a bit as people started investing in washing machines and synthetic detergents.Given that there was a latent demand for these products, the washing machine really took off. However this was not the most affordable solution for one and all. The maid servant with her whimsical attitude was not a dependable and reliable alternative, either. In many places in India soft water is still a problem. The hard water tends to be corrosive at times and scales appear even on the pipes and RO Filters requiring constant changing of the candles. This is when a group of young people felt the need for affordable and hygienic washing, drying and dry cleaning, in a manner similar to the western nations. They visited these worlds to understand what we lack here in India and underwent several visits abroad for study and bench-marking purposes, with an intention to bridge the gap. They knew that India was awaiting an organised team to march in this unorganized sector. They realized that there was a huge pent up demand awaiting a supply constraint. They understood that they will be the voice of this silent, unarticulated demand for eco-cleaning and hygienic services and will be instrumental in building an organisation around this. They knew that "Cleanliness is not the preserve of a few, but a state of being". Thus "Washingtonne Hygienik Pvt. Ltd." was born. Our Logo: Our logo depicts a Garuda, with quick delivery of our service as its motto. The sea-green colour of the Garuda depicts water and the liquid medium used for our service. Garuda is also in the form of a W which is the first letter in Washingtonne. The Circle behind depicts the horizon or Sun.The Orange colour also depicts ironing, steam press and dry-cleaning. Our Name: Our Namkaran or naming ceremony was done as "Washingtonne Hygienik Pvt. Ltd.", which depicts washing tonnes of garments in a hygienic environment. Our Brand: We named our brand "Washingtonne" which reflects the washing and drying and dry cleaning of garments required for the teeming billions in tonnes.
