So, it’s your kid’s birthday and you want to make the party extra special. And, yet, you’ve run out of good ideas. What now? Well, why not make delectable chocolate robot invitation cards, to delight your little guests with sweet tidings? You heard that right! These cards are unique and your kid will enjoy taking part in the project too. Interested? Here’s how you can go about it.

What you’ll need -

  • A rectangular, patterned or plain card
  • Colourful patterned paper- I used polka-dotted ones, but you can also choose stripes or other bold prints
  • Miniature chocolate bar- I used small KitKat bars
  • Red paper, cut into small heart and lip shapes
  • Grey and silver card stock
  • Two hole punchers (one smaller than the other)
  • Googly eyes (you can get them at any craft shop)

Procedure -

  • Cut the patterned paper into two rectangles- one big, one small.
  • Wrap the patterned paper around the mini chocolate bar and secure with glue. You can use other candy bars too, like Cadbury Dairy milk, Perk or Munch. Make sure you use milk chocolates, as kids love them.
  • Now, neatly cut the silver card stock into thin quarter-inch wide strips, for the arms and legs.
  • For the feet, punch out a circle from the grey card and cut it in half. Paste the halves at the bottom of the legs. For the hands, punch out a smaller circle.
  • Cut the grey stock into rectangles, for the face, and paste googly eyes and lips (made from the red paper) onto them. You can also print the lips on the card stock and cut them out neatly. Assemble all the body parts and paste them on to the rectangular, patterned or plain card.
  • Your cute, unique chocolate robot invitation card is now ready. You can print the party’s details on the back of the card. Let me know how it goes!
