Mission: To prevent student’s migration from Tier II/III towns to Tier I cities by enriching their skill potential and making them market ready. Situation: Talented candidates from Tier II and Tier III towns most often than not tumble facing the competition as they are not industry ready. This may be due to lack of exposure to the current trends in the industry, lack of proper training in the technical and soft skills areas and lack of academic focus on the current trends and most importantly lack of industry based projects or assignments. Because of these factors most of the students are migrating to Tier I cities after they complete their courses in pursuit of their career goals and in the process getting trained on technical and soft skill areas and preparing themselves to face the competition. In a nut shell there is no proper platform for talented students in Tier II and Tier III cities to launch their career and even if it exists most of them are unaware of it. So the main objective of WQLR is to create a platform by which most of the talent is tapped and utilized. This can be achieved by minimising the knowledge asymmetries and to open up career doors for these professionals so that these professionals transform from a ‘trainable workforce’ to ‘employable workforce’.
