Hi everyone, I have a friend who has been preparing for the December CPT exam. She is striving so hard to pass in this exam. It is her second attempt. So, I decided I would find some tips, since she has no time to look for it online. This blog is for all people like me and for those preparing for the CPT exam.

I and everybody else know that CPT is a very tough competitive exam. Now, anything can be made at least simple, if not very easy. Well, I found these tips online; it was given by a person who got 6th rank. I hope these help!

Many students focus on solving more and more multiple choice questions and ignore the subjective questions which are lengthy and they think it’s of no use in CPT exams. But, may be by following this concept you will be able to clear CPT somehow but u won’t succeed at IPCC of FINAL level, because CPT is base. So, try to answer as many questions as possible.

ACCOUNTS

If you have a good base of 11th and 12th standard, then CPT Accounts won’t bother you too much. Just stick to the basics because most questions come from the simplest points which sometimes are ignored. Now, Accounts is the main subject for a C.A, so if you want to do well at higher levels of the course you should make your base from here onwards

BUSINESS LAW

This is a new subject for most people, so try to grab the concept because many questions in the exam won’t be directly from the book

MICRO ECONOMICS

If you are thorough with 12th standard economics, then you won’t have any problem in microeconomics. You can keep the concept of graphs in mind and create your own answers.

MATHS AND STATISTICS

Many students tend to leave these 50 marks totally, because they form an idea that they won’t be able to solve it from the initial stage. Please do not do that, you will be leaving easy 20-30 marks. Basic idea of maths is very important to be a C.A
In Maths and Statistics u can easily fetch 20-30 marks coz many topics are very easy. Just a sharp brain and basic knowledge of 10th level maths will be sufficient. You can leave the complex things like calculus and series, if you are not good at maths, as you would only loose 1 or 2 marks

MACRO ECONOMICS

Macro part is complete theory and u will have to learn it somehow. It is boring but 25 marks come from there. Learn only the lastest data available. Lastly go for a scanner for all subjects.

Now, when it comes to the exam hall most would get nervous and do certain things which might get you in trouble, like checking the answers with others, trying to copy, etc. Do not do those things, because it will cost you your future and the most important thing- Please take all the required stationary.
