Staff Selection Commission: Junior Engineers Examination Notification 2014
The Staff Selection Commission has called for applications for its Junior Engineers (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Quantity Surveying and Contract) exam 2014.
Following are the positions vacant:
- Junior Engineer (Mechanical and Civil) in CWC and Farakka Barrage
- Junior Engineer (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Quantity Surveying and Contracts) in MES
- Junior Engineer (Electrical and Civil) in CPWD and Department of Posts
- Junior Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical /Civil) in Border Roads Organisation (BRO) of Ministry of Defence
Those interested can send their applications by March 28, 2014.
Eligibility Conditions
To apply for Junior Engineer (Civil and Electrical), CPWD, you should hold a Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
To apply for Junior Engineer (Civil and Electrical), Department of Posts, you should have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
For Junior Engineer (Civil)/Junior Engineer (Mechanical and Electrical)/Junior Engineer (QS&C), MES, you should have a degree in Civil Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Or a Diploma in similar disciplines, along with two years’ experience in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Mechanical Engineering or Civil/Electrical works.
For Junior Engineer (Civil and Mechanical), CWC and Farakka Barrage, you should hold a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
For Junior Engineer (Civil)/Junior Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical), Border Roads Organization, you should have Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), or equivalent.
Application Procedure
You must submit the online application via the official websites: http://ssconline.nic.in and http://ssconline2.gov.in
You will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 100/- via State Bank of India as Challan or via SBI net banking.
Female candidates and those eligible for reservations can avail exemption from payment of fee.
Selection Criteria
You will be picked based on your performance in the written test and interview.
Dates
Registrations start on March 1, 2014
Last date for Part-I Registrations is March 26, 2014 (up to 5 pm)
Last date for Part-II Registration is March 28, 2014 (up to 5 pm)
Last date for registration by foreign candidates is April 4, 2014
The exam will be held on May 25, 2014.
