Decorating a bathroom

How to decorate a bathroom, should not normally be a thing you write about in the mornings, just when a large part of your office work is lying next to you.

But when you have a demanding sister who insists that you send her some tips, since, ahem, you live alone and are pretty cool with experimenting with design, you can't really overlook the feminine demand!

So here goes. To you and my sister, who I shall be sending a link of this blog:

Decide what is your biggest priority in the bathroom. (Mine is lined with magazines and books). So if you think a towel rack is the most important thing for you, (As it is for my sister) then you should be looking for a priority place to make one.

Your design should be able to use the space, and your decorating plan should not cover up the air and light vents of your bathroom.

Preferably match colour schemes of the wall and floors, bathroom storage spaces and the lights.

Go for good looking, easy to clean and tough-in-wear-and-tear, sanitaryware, that will be the cynosure of all in your bathroom.

My favourite is to install modern looking bathroom cabinets. There are wide ranges of very beautiful and stylish bathroom cabinets with matching colors available today. Bathroom cabinets can be used for storing bath accessories such as medicines and first aid box, deodorants. Besides bathroom vanity cabinets are characterizing by being located above the sink. Many vanities have mirrored doors, which serve the function of both a looking glass and a place for storage.

Put an extractor fan for clearing the air of moisture an dodour.  This will give you freshness inside your bathroom.

Pay attention to bathroom mirrors - which are a pain to keep clean - but gives a complete alteration to your bathroom. One of the most important functions of bathroom mirror is to reflect both artificial and natural lights.

While ideally light up your bathroom with natural light, lighting effects give a complete alteration in terms of looks of the bathrooms. When diffused day light mingle with artificial lights make the bathroom space more pleasant and loving.

It need not be a very expensive proposition. A little planning, looking around shops for bargain-hunting etc, and you can save a lot of money.

Hope this helps. Now I shoot this off to my sister!
