In early 2007, a retired Indian Armed Force couple, Mr. and Mrs. Syal, realised that there weren’t many comfortable, family run safe and budget hotels in Dwarka, close to the airport and walking distance from metro station, especially for young women, families and professionals. Having faced similar difficulties in other cities during their long and short duration travel, they decided to do something about it. Today, Sargam Residency, a budget hotel in Dwarka, run by Syal Family, takes pride in the fact that they have hosted numerous national and international travellers across all walks of life for both short and long duration, most of them coming through referrals and/or are regular returnees.
