Rude behaviour and abusive staff! I checked into this lodge just for a day a couple of days ago. The prices were reasonable and room cleanliness was just okay. However, the attendants were rude and at the time of checkout they demanded tips. I asked them on what basis I should tip them since I hardly stayed there as most of the time I was out. For that, one of the attendants abused me. The owner kept mum. I wonder if this is the way they treat their customers. This is the last time I will visit this lodge. I have options. I can stay in the TTD lodges or the railway retiring room. I can stay at better lodges that charge a higher rate and do not demand tips. I would have given a tip if there was some justification for it. But it seems many lodge attendants have started demanding for nothing. This is not acceptable. Henceforth, I would have to ask the lodge owners what is the room fee as well as the room attendants tips. In India, we expect money for having done nothing. Shame on us.
