Usually, clients wont tell you what they want, its up to you to ask them. Client needs reassurance that their brief will be fulfilled the way they visualized it, but they have a hard time explaining how they see their future website. The best way to overcome this problem is communication. Step 2: Research, ideas & sketchThis step is always the hardest. We start designing things on the paper, sometimes even client gets us a design on paper. Take a good look at your competitors websites. A good option is to check all the local and international competitors and learn from their content. What do they all have in common? This is what you should include in your website. What are they missing? Thats what you can improve in your website. Step 3: WireframesWireframes are the blueprint of your website. Its what gives your website a visual structure. Sit with clients and finalize where to place the elements so there and the best possible placement of any element. Team can start designing the PSD design on PhotoShop or by using any other tool. Step 4: Style tilesStyle tiles (also known as style guides) are a design deliverable consisting of fonts, colors and interface elements that communicate the essence of a visual brand for the web. Style tiles are based on visual preference discussions with the client. This Style designs are then shared with the client to inform them the feeling and tone of your website. Step 5: Prototyping & TestingBy composing your wireframe and style tiles, all you need to do now is combine them together. Heres where you start seeing how your website/application will look like. Prototyping means building a model of the website before we build the actual website. We would test it then and finetune all the parameters, refine any alterations and elements that needs to be improved.The big day. Youve tested the site, had it reviewed and approved by the project stakeholders, and youre ready to launch. But once the site is launched, the project isnt over you should be prepared to address feedback from users adapting to the new site. Expect to make some immediate changes to the site, such as fixing broken links, editing copy and making adjustments.
