He received his M.B.B.S. from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), Delhi. Following this, he trained in general ophthalmology surgery (M.S.) at the Guru Nanak Eye Centre associated with MAMC, LNJP and GB Pant hospitals. His thesis was on Age-Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD).In 2007, he was appointed the clinical lecturer to the University of Adelaide, Australia. Upon return to New Delhi, India in 2009, he joined the centre for sight as a retina consultant which he later resigned and finally joined Sharp Sight centres. He is currently the head of vitreoretinal and Uvea services at Sharp Sight Centres at Pusa Road and Preet Vihar in New Delhi, India.He has written his thesis on Age-Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD). He has authored numerous scientific papers in international and national scientific journals, and book chapters in leading textbooks on Vitreoretinal Diseases such as wills eye manual for Uveitis.
