The Graduate Management Admission Council, the official GMAT exam administrating body, has designed the exam pattern that includes both objective and subjective questions. The exam consists of 80 questions and checks the candidate’s proficiency in 4 major sections, which are described below.

GMAT Exam Pattern - Highlights
- GMAT is a computer adaptive test
- GMAT is a 210-minutes long test comprising of 80 questions
- It includes four sections, namely- Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal Section.
- In Analytical writing assessment, 1 question would be given with a time limit of 30 minutes. This section tests the candidates’ ability to analyze and predict the reasons for the given argument.
- Integrated reasoning consists of 12 questions and 30 minutes will be provided for the same
- The quantitative section consists of 31 questions with a time limit of 62 minutes.
- The last section- Verbal has 36 questions and a time limit of 65 minutes.
