IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) conducts a common recruitment process every year to hire clerical cadres in various banks. Almost all public sector banks use CRP as a base to fill the vacancies for this post. The IBPS exam will be conducted in three-selection levels: prelims, mains, and interview.
The prelims have three main sections: English language, quantitative aptitude, and reasoning ability. Of these, both the aptitude and reasoning ability are conducted both in English and Hindi languages. Each section is allocated 20 minutes, comprising a total of 1 hour of examination. The topics for mains are:
- Reasoning and computer aptitude.
- General/economy/banking awareness.
- English language.
- Data analysis and interpretation.
This section comprises 200 marks.
This year, IBPS has announced over 4,000 vacancies for 11 participating banks. The candidates should fill out the duly-filled application form online and submit it along with the required fee, digital signature, photographs, IBPS PO handwritten declaration, and other required documents. For candidates under general and different categories, Rs 850 is charged as an application fee, and for candidates falling under SC/ST categories, Rs 175 is charged.
The eligibility criteria for the IBPS PO exam are that a candidate should have an essential graduation degree from a recognized board. Any candidate who has received an equivalent qualification recognized by the central government is also eligible for the exam. The candidate should be a citizen of India and should not be less than 20 years old or more than 30 years. However, there is a separate relaxation application for different category people as per the government rules.
