The State Bank of India (SBI) hires eminent candidates for their clerical cadre every year through the SBI clerk exam. The notification for the SBI clerk exam 2024 is expected to be released by November 2024. Every year, lakhs of applicants appear for this examination, and the eligible ones get selected as the entry-level clerk for SBI. This national-level banking exam has a two-stage selection process – prelims and mains. The final selection depends based on the marks scored on these two levels. The exam will be based on MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) and an optional language test. The exam syllabus includes reasoning ability, numerical ability, and English language skills.
If an applicant wishes to take up the SBI examination, they must be a citizen of India and have a graduation certificate in any discipline from a recognized university. Though the final year students can also apply for the exams, they must submit their consolidated mark sheets before August 31, 2024. The candidates should possess a great verbal and written fluency in the state’s official language they are applying in. The minimum age requirement for an applicant to take up the test is 20 years, while the maximum would be 28 years. However, there are different age relaxations for applicants falling under different categories.
The application process for the SBI clerk requirement will be completed online on the official SBI’s website. An amount of Rs 750 will be charged as an application fee for general category people while it is non-chargeable for SC/ST candidates. Generally, the SBI clerk admits card will be released 10 or 15 days before the examination, and the students can download it. The admit card has a student’s important details like full name, parents’ name, DOB, candidate’s photograph, reporting time, exam center, exam date, subject details, exam instructions, etc.
