Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital was established in 1975 to mark the 2500th Anniversary of Lord Bhagwan Mahaveer. The hospital was started by a group of benevolent people from Jain Community in Bengaluru, and was registered as a Charitable Institution by the name of Bhagwan Mahaveer Memorial Jain Trust with an aim to help the poor and the needy. The main objective was to provide medical facilities at a very affordable cost.
