The Emmanuel Chess Centre (ECC) at theRussian Cultural Centreis an institute for professional chess training exclusively for young children in the age group of five to fourteen. The academy has trained more than 2000 students in the past eleven years. The academy has made a conscientious effort to provide a professional chess training atmosphere and skilled expertise to nurture the budding young chess players to reach great heights.

Shakthi Chess Academy (SCA) was established in October 2007 at Mylapore, India. It is a branch of the renowned CAPA Chess Academy was started in the year 1990 by FIDE Instructor and International Arbiter Mr K. Murali Mohan. With Fide Instructor and Sr.Consultant, Mr.Sakthi Prabhakar and his team of coaches, SCA has been imparting dedicated coaching for the past ten years. The panel of coaches with distinguished track records, render their consistent professional support for the achievements of the students. The academy has successfully trained around 500 students till date and still on the track of glory. Training is imparted for children in the age group of 4yrs to 14 yrs. The children are split up to various levels based on their skills, and the specialists on the aspect provide the required support. The academy conducts home tournaments and regular review tests to motivate the toppers however the non-performers are kept under specialist training. I am a chess player and coach. I have been playing for the last 40 years, both in India and US. I was a registered member of US Chess Federation and India Chess Federation. I have an ELO rating of approximately 1400. I am a medium level player and can only teach beginners kids and adults. I can only teach on Sundays.
