Thinking you can pack, move, and tidy up all by yourself? Think again. Self-Packing and Moving involves a lot of forethought, organisation, and concentration, all in all, it is a LOT of trouble. There are a lot of things that can go south when packing by yourself. Here are 11 photos that show you why packing and moving is definitely not as easy as it seems:

1. Boxes in my Dreams

Self-packing’s biggest woe is to be surrounded by packing boxes. You know your inexperienced self will have no idea how many boxes you will need to pack efficiently. Needless to say, you will be seeing boxes/packages everywhere for days on end past your moving day!

2. Space! Space! Space!

One of the most frustrating things when self-packing is making the best use of space. You start to believe that packing is truly an art and a gift you haven’t been blessed with. You shuffle around the house trying to accommodate everything.

3. Field day for the small pets

If you have small pets like Ferrets or Hamsters you know you are in for a day of chasing them down in your boxes filled with packing peanuts. You immediately regret not going for Professional help and saving yourself all this trouble.

4. Weird Explanations

The explanations you give to officers and on-lookers alike will get weirder every passing minute. You know packing and moving is going to put you in the most bizarre situations, where you, unfortunately, need to play it cool!

5. Develop clutter-o-phobia

Even if you were okay with clutter before, when you are packing and moving you are sure to feel like your house has been invaded by packages. You will feel the constant need to clean up thinking back to the golden days when you hadn’t decided to self-pack.

6. Unrealistic Daydreams

By the end of your self-packing venture, you will be so tired that you will start to dream about unrealistic and impossible events to get you out of this situation. You will start to pray for Hogwarts to exist and for you to be able to zap and finish your packing in a jiffy.

7. Not-so-fun pet cleanup

If you have big pets like dogs and cats, you can be sure of the fact that you will have some major cleaning up to do. Dogs especially, tend to go crazy over packing peanuts and ensure you will go crazy over the resulting mess.

8. New car time

Whether you successfully move into your new place or not, you may end up with a new car at the end of your stint into self-packing. To save time you might end up overloading your car with stuff and finally push your poor car into breaking down.

9. Lost and Found

Your room transforms into a lost and found treasury where you discover everything you never even knew you had. The resulting few hours will be a criminal waste of your precious time with your staring at all your unknown possessions.

10. Endless playtime

A few minutes of break turns into a few hours of play time especially when you have pets and you have different shaped empty boxes. Your entire plan of being productive goes down the drain the moment your cat/dog sees the boxes.
