In the year 1995 floated an export firm in the name of Blue Arrows and got empanelled for supplies with the Defense Authorities of Kenya, East Africa. In the year 1996 due to the sudden demise of his cousin in Africa, the export business did not materialize and due to litigations at home had to return back to India from Africa. At home, consulted the renowned civil counsel of Kamrup Mr. S. P. Roy, Advocate, Gauhati High Court; and after getting an assurance that the matter will be settled within a period of one year the brief was handed over. After a lapse of one year visited the chamber of his counsel only to know that things are lying at the same stage when he left for Africa. The time consumed in litigation made him think of joining the Bar and got himself enrolled under the Bar Council of India and started practising under the able leadership of Shri S. P. Roy, advocate, Guwahati High Court. Mother, late Nirmal Kaur Kalsi was running a girls’ hostel and was very much interested in working for the women’s cause and land measuring one bigha at Amingoan has been donated to the trust; floated on the name of ‘KEWAL NIRMAL KALSI SALUTARY TRUST’ with the purpose to work for the women’s cause.
