Born in Dolpura, Rajasthan, D.S. Ladhulal decided that he wanted to pursue pharmacy and become a chemist when he grew up. He completed his Diploma in Pharmacy with flying colours in 86-87 achieving 85.46 percent marks and was ranked 6th in the state. Thereafter, he soon set up Jain Medicals, a chemist store in 1989; but then, not content with just this he decided to take up an LIC agency in 1992 and work part time. Those days’ insurance awareness levels were abysmally low. And he realized that most preferred other investments that provided attractive returns over risk covers which offered no immediate tangible benefits - a challenging task for Ladhulal to convince people. But he was strongly determined to achieve the impossible. Being confident enough of mobilizing business from his huge contacts coupled with his hard work and perseverance, Ladhulal went on to become the B M Club member in 2000. Since then there was no looking back. Soon the Agent Ratna award happened in 2002-2003, 2003-2004 and later, he also went on become the D M Club member. By now he was already doing a business of Rs.40 lakhs to Rs.60 lakhs each year. Thereafter, he was adjudged the first crorepathi at his branch. He insured a whopping 170 lives and garnered 3.96 crore business during the last two years and attributes his success to his motto - ‘customer-first’.
