C Major 7 is a multi genre band from North Kerala having its root in indian classical and folk music. Major sound influences of the band is from Alt Rock,Progressive, Indie & World Fusion music. Sennheiser India listed C Major 7 as one of the top 50 bands in the country on 2017. Band have performed in various prestigious venues including Swasraya Bharath, Keralas Largest science festival, Edappal Vadyolsavam, Central University Of Kerala, Kerala tourism iconic spot; Jadayupara and other events organised by Colleges throughout Kerala and outside. Band have collaborated with noted artists such as Smt .Vaikkom Vijayalakshmi, Sri. Vijayaraghavan (PSV Kadhakali Sangham), Sri Santhosh Alankode (Director, Sopanam School of Music) etc. C Major 7 was officially formed in 2013 and performed above 200+ venues in the last 6 years across the country. Band is known for its unique bridging between different genres in music. Focused on Indian classical & Folk music elements, band has released it's debut album in 2019 'Elelo'. Elelo is folklore sung in Northern part of Kerala and it has been recreated as a reminder of co-existance between humans and Mother nature. The song lyrically describes how humans are connected to nature and how each elements of nature is interlinked each other. The band brought in a soundscape of a blend of various folk culture by adding up various rhythm instruments of both Indian and foreign origin along with harmonies of guitars and keyboards which is of a different music culture. Band has also done various instrumental and unplugged covers. 'Mayanadi - an acoustic reprise', a flute cover of the song 'Miziyil Ninnum' became popular through social media hitting overall views of 200K+ in Youtube. Band is currently producing unplugged series of 1min length named Moods Enroute.
