"Kewpie's is a place you go to vary the "good but regular-restaurant" flavour..the food is good, very "bengali"..with its "luchi, -chholar daal, begun bhaaja, Daab-Chingri, panthar mangsho" et al..its certainly the real bengali stuff...add to it the "Bhanr", antique looking furniture set-up, huge mirrors.. .all to give you the old-Calcutta household ( a la "bonedi-bari") feel...it sums up nicely..but the servings are small and pricing slightly steep considering you have other options like the Oh Calcutta right across in the forum, who also serve good bengali food.."
