We agreed on 2500 INR(1000 installation + 1500 for gas). Technician told me they have never seen R290 gas (least CFC emitting gas and pretty common with Godrej AC). They asked for more than double just for gas ,INR 3500. Looking at the technician,I was sure they were trying to scam me. I asked them to leave. They charged me Rs 1300(1000 installation +300 for copper nuts used in pipe). I called other technician,they came and checked if the installation is done correctly or not. Just after looking at the gas nozle from outdoor unit, he told me that the previous technician has bolted the pipe too strongly and might have caused a leak in the internal pipe and he was right on money. He fixed the leak and filled the gas in INR 2500. That is the difference between a technician and an scamster. I would suggest never hire these guys.
