Samarpan Kala Kendra is a dance studio based in Gurugram, dedicated to Kathak conceptualised by Kumar Pradipto and Ritu Gupta. The intent is to promote the only classical dance of North India as per Guru Sishya Parampara of Lucknow Gharana Mission: Samarpan Kala Kendra's mission is to promote our art and cultural heritage through Indian classical dance forms. We believe in modernization without westernisation. Our motto is to widen the understanding of India’s rich and diverse culture and make this respectable art approachable to our current and future generations. Vision: We visualise Samarpan Kala Kendra to be known for promoting Indian classical dance forms starting from Delhi/NCR to all our the world. And through sustained efforts of our dedicated team, we wish to achieve the same slow and steady. Our vision is to encourage our future generations to take up classical dancing as hobby or passion with the intent to remain connected to our roots. Our Facilities: CLASSROOMSSamarpan Kala Kendra is located in Sushant Lok-1 Gurugram which is easily accessible via metro and by road. The classrooms are well ventilated and spacious enough to accommodate a batch of 25 students at a time still, we do not appreciate overcrowding the class as our motive is to focus on each student personally. The premises have the provision for clean drinking water and well maintained and clean washrooms. The classroom is well equipped with audio-visual devices and the same is updated with the latest trending music for maximising the quality of the sound for practice. Our classroom is equipped with CCTV cameras to ensure maximum security of all the students. EVENTS AND SHOWSEach student is carefully monitored for their progress and accordingly receive a chance for participating in national level and state level shows as per their potential. All the students are encouraged to take part in shows organised by Samarpan internally as it gives an exposure and stage experience which contributes to their personal growth as a classical dancer. OTHER FACILITIESThe basic equipment like practice mats, knee pads, ankle socks are readily available for use in the institution. However, personal items like ghungroos need to be purchased as specified by our Kathak guru based on the student’s level. Samarpan’s team provides all the help to students and their parents in this process.
