Adventure Zone, set up in 1998, is one of India’s leading Out Bound Training (OBT) companies. It is headed by Maj S.R. Roy, a retired army officer who uses adventure sports to provide HR training sessions that are both enjoyable and extremely effective.   What is OBT? It is a form of HR training based on experiential learning where you take people out of their familiar surroundings and give them challenging tasks to perform — in this case adventure activities — both as individuals and as part of teams. During the course of the activity, it is possible to map, and subsequently improve, the team’s skills in communication, teamwork, focus, leadership, any other soft skill, and other aspects of HR and inter-personal relationships that have a vital impact on the workplace.   Programs are tailor-made to address the issues specified by each company. The training is handled by Maj Roy and his team of facilitators, all of whom have wide experience and skill in the field of facilitation.   Adventure Zone has a vast integrated OBT campsite 90 km outside Chennai. The site is set on 11 acres of beautifully landscaped property in peaceful green countryside. On the site you will find an artificial climbing and rappelling wall, obstacle course, 2400 sq ft swimming pool, shooting ranges, and courses for other funky outdoor games like Caterpillar Race and Pythagoras. The company’s safety record is 100%, and its equipment and crew are world-class.   Accommodation is in spacious air-conditioned Swiss Cottage-style tents with bunk beds and luxurious toilet blocks. The catering is in-house and excellent, with both veg and non-veg options.
