CCTV is a common name at present. It is hard to think of anyone in the present times who has not heard of CCTVs. CCTV stands for 'closed circuit television'. This is a kind of security system for public or, private places. It is also a form of video surveillance system. The only difference lies in the fact that being 'closed circuit', anyone outside the circuit will not be able to view the footage.
