Firm was started in 1923 by Late B.M. Chatrath in Lahore. Mr. B.M. Chatrath did his C.A. from England. At the time of Independence in 1947 the firm shifted to Calcutta. Mr. B.M. Chatrath was an experienced person in the field of Accountancy, Audit, and Taxation and was a member of the Tax Tribunal. In the year 1955, Mr. M.M. Chatrath (Son of Late B.M. Chatrath) became a partner of the firm. He is currently the senior partner and is the guiding force of the firm with his vast experience of over 50 years. Over the years the firm has received numerous Internal/Management Audit assignment of various Corporate; today we have more than 200 satisfied clients in our clientele. The clientele includes Citibank, Associates India Financial Services Pvt. Ltd., Standard Chartered Grind lays, ABN Amro, Reckitt Benckiser of India Ltd., Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd., Oil India Ltd., RPG Group, Apeejay Group, DCM Group, Jindal Group, various Tea Companies, and many more. The Firm is a Member of CII. To cope with the increase in the clientele a number of new partners have been inducted into the Firm from time to time and their strength at present is 11. The Firm has three divisions i.e. Audit, Management Consultancy and Taxation. The firm is a Member of ALLIOTT Group an international Global Association of Independent Accounting Firms with over 200 Member offices all over the world and ranks amongst the world’s top 20 Accounting Groups.
