Dil Se Desi was one of the few places I had visited in my 1st week of my coming to Pune, and since then I am in love with this restaurant.Food:There are two things that I liked about the menu:1) The food itself (dhaba style)2) And the way every dish has an absolutely unique name (not to forget that they all seem to be coming from different parts of the country with that extra Punjabi tadka)Ambience:The first thing you notice about this place is the decor. This multi-cuisine restaurant is made in an absolutely desi way, starting from the beautiful red wooden door outside, the water fountain in the center of the main hall, on the walls of which you can find pictures of Indian monuments ranging from the marvelous Meenakshi temple of Tamil Nadu to Amer Fort of Rajasthan. You have got to see the dining table tops for more surprises. It is a real roadside hand trolley (thela) which they have made stationary and converted into tables. There is a model truck where u can sit with your folks and enjoy your food. There is also a model boat at the highest point, from where you can enjoy the view. There are many more pleasant surprises like these. There is also an open air area which is made absolutely dhaba style, where you are made to sit on a jute woven long bench ( chaarpie). Even the copper bowl wash-basin needs a special mention.. :POverall:The service is decently up to the mark, the food is good but the ambience is better, and the prices are a little above the average. But, let me assure you that you will enjoy the whole experience and will certainly not regret paying for it.
