Overview
North Point Day School started functioning from 1956 as a kindergarten school for underprivileged students. Swami Shankar Kutty made the humble beginning and then blessed by Mother Teresa in 1994. For the improvement of the society and eradicating illiteracy from the society a formal school was formed known as North Point Day School run by the community “The Educators Assisting Children’s Hopes”. It was acknowledged by the Ex-President of India, Shri K. R. Narayanan in 2000. We are proud to have many eminent personalities passing out from our school, of which Bhaichung Bhutia was one. The primary aim of this institution is to impart sound training, (religious, mental, moral, social and physical) to the students, based on the principles of all faith. North Point Day School’s principal object is to impart a full course of liberal education to the youth of the country with particular emphasis on the Indian tradition and culture. In recent times the most important issue being faced are the issues of values and the imparting of these values. Hence the goal of the institution is not only to promote education by encouraging academic excellence and development of skills but also to groom the students in understanding their Indian Culture and its values. It is run according to the principles and methods of the current educators. The constant efforts of the well-trained staff are to develop the individual personality of each pupil and bring out the best and noblest qualities so as to make them dutiful citizens. Specific attention is given to ensure a high standard of morality and discipline in the school. To develop, this ideal, the co-operation of the parents is earnestly solicited at all times.
