Counselling/psychotherapy is a process, which aims to help a client recognize shadows of his psyche(thoughts/experiences inaccessible to the conscious mind) and creeping into the life as psychological and physiological disturbances(symptoms), therefore problematic. The recognition and acceptance of these shadowed areas lead to the alleviation of the symptom. The client is lead through a process of self-exploration, enabling him to gain insight of the parts of the psyche that were remaining in the dark.
