Dr. Sivakumar .R and Dr. Hema Sivakumar started their humble clinical practice with a small clinic in busy street around Madurai Meenakshi temple Thavittuchandhai in 1997. Later it was housed in KK nagar, Madurai as 6 bedded nursing home & fully functioning operation theatre equipped with C Arm in 2000. Preethi Hospital was established in 2007 as 70 bedded four storied hospital opposite to Mattuthavani Bus stand. This was a equipped with theaters separate laminar airflow system exclusively for Arthroplasty and Spine surgery. It had 7 bedded ICU with Three ventilators. At the peak about 2200 surgeries per annum were performed (250 joint replacement, 200 Spine cases, 150 Sports Injuries). The hospital was equipped with state of the art equipment and highly skilled doctors with staff to deal with multiple injuries Poly trauma patients. Complex deformities as well as problems of joints and spine alike along with Obstetrics, Gynaecology and advanced Infertility treatment. Shuffling as professor in Medical school and Chief consultant at Preethi hospital Dr. Sivakumar is able to treat patients with complex problems with Humane touch.
