I think this is the oldest branch in Chennai. I used to go from my childhood. I grown up, but still the taste of the Sambar IDLY.. Wow.. I don’t know, how they still maintaining the taste. Wonderful place to take meals & sambar idly. But don’t miss out the pongal guys.

YUP THIS IS ALSO ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS KNOWN FOR ITS IDLI SAMBHAR TAT IS THE SOUTH INDIAN FOOD... THIS HOTEL IS AGAIN I THINK AVAILABEL ALL OVER THE WORLD.. IT HAS AWESOME SOUTH INDIAN FOOD.. AND THE MEALS IN THE AFTERNOON IS ALSO GOOD... AND S THIS IS THE MAIN BRANCH AMONG ALL THE OUTLETS IN CHENNAI...

Since we invited less people for our Gruhapravesham function, We ordered both Breakfast and Lunch from Rathna Cafe. For the breakfast they charged 95Rs and for the lunch they have charged 120Rs. Our guests enjoyed the food and the cost factor was apt for the taste and the quality

Extra-ordinary food with awesome taste. A quality vegetarian food in Chennai. I had Special Meals @ RS 85, which is really worth for your money. Try their speciality "Sambar Idly" which will be really good.

Ratna Cafe is a regular 'udipi' style restaurant, and serves all the regulars, dosa, rava dosa, poori, pongal etc. But its claim to fame is the sambar and thats what will linger in your mouth and mind, after you dine there. The sambar is one of the best i have ever tasted, and they will simply pour it on. Neither they nor the customers are not shy about their sambar.
