Dr. Rakesh Makwana is a keen clinician – senior prosthodontist & implantologist and a pointed academic at heart. While he holds his private practice at Satellite, Ahmedabad, his work profile includes CONSULTANT PROSTHODONTIST AND IMPLANTOLOGIST across the State,He is also consultant MAXILLOFACIAL PROSTHODONTIST at various oral cancer hospitals. He is presently working as a reader at Faculty of Dental Sciences, DDU, Nadiad. He is one of the founder the ACADEMY FOR ADVANCEMENT IN PROSTHODONTICS with a view to raise the standards of practice of dental practitioners, by continually holding CDE programs in various cities. He is also one of the founder member of DENTAL IMPLANTOLOGY ACADEMY first of its kind in the state. Publications of articles in various journals and presentation of papers at the national level show the eclectic mix of an eagerness to do great work, and being academically correct. He holds memberships with Indian Prosthodontic Society, Indian Dental Association , Dental Practitioner’s Society and Gujarat prosthodontic forum, as the treasurer. Outside dentistry, he has created his own DVD on NO EQUIPMENT BODYWEIGHT HOME WORKOUT AND YOGA SERIES aiming to help fellow colleagues and patients to reduce the prevalence of cervical and back problems as well as to remain healthy and to lose weight.
