Suranjan Dasgupta, is a Senior Lawyer and an Educationist. He is practising in the High Court at Calcutta, for more than 22 years. He is a Senior Counsel with the Union of India. He specialises in Arbitration, Education, Matrimonial, Consumer, Landlord - Tenant, Civil and Criminal matters, including Bail and Criminal Appeals, drafting, conveyancing and registration. He is also the former Secretary of the Calcutta High Court Bar Association and Calcutta High Court Club. Presently, he is the President of All India Advocates' Litigants and Human Rights Forum. He is the co- editor of Indian Human Rights Law Review. He is also a visiting faculty in Law, at IISWBM, Kolkata and Surendranath Law College, Kolkata, and is a senior Academic Counsellor in English and Law, at IGNOU. Mr.Dasgupta also specialises in family counselling and Alternative Disputes Resolution (ADR) and had undergone training with Legal Aid Services, West Bengal.
