Dr. Pendakur Anand is the Chief Consultant. Basically an ENT Surgeon, he got specialized training in Immunology of Asthma and Allergy in Delhi University and then hands-on training under Internationally renowned Professors of Allergy, Prof. Jack Pepys in London, UK and Prof. Roy Patterson, in Chicago, USA. Dr. Anand founded the first Allergy Clinic under an organized setup in Karnataka in 1978. The Clinic is one of the foremost in the country. Though majority of patients are from Karnataka, many from other southern states have been coming for healthcare. The Clinic and Dr. Anand have been associated with several major research projects on allergy in the city of Bangalore, important ones being on pollen allergy of Bangalore and house dust mite allergy in Bangalore. Dr. Anand has presented lectures and seminars to medical fraternity in various cities and towns of India and abroad. Dr. Anand has several Chapters in textbooks, scientific papers in journals and educational articles for the public in popular magazines, to his credit. Dr. Anand is interested in the preservation and protection of the environment.
