Water reaches the steel reinforcement. Its constant contact with steel begins the corrosion process. Once the steel starts cording, it becomes difficult to control the process & it keeps on spreading all over.   Applying chemicals on the visible cracks do not stop leakages. There are certain places like construction joints, drops, corners, expansion joints which are required to be treated differently. Mere coating in such areas is not sufficient to stop leakage. No single method is sufficient to render the desired results. The treatment may change as per the location and with the type of problem.
