Mumbai-based VR Dancesport was founded in 2008 by Rajeswari Vaidyanathan and Shannon Benjamin. It is one of the first schools in India to teach the authentic DanceSport style recognised globally. We are the official organisers of the annual National Level & State Level Championships under the banner Indian Dancesport Council (National Affiliate to the World Dance Council) and Dance Sport Association of Maharashtra (DSAM). VR DanceSport teaches Salsa, which is now almost a generic term for Latin dance form. We are the best in Mumbai and teach it as per international standards, and we are also known for our prolific knowledge in other mainstream Latin styles like Cha Cha, Jive, Samba, Rumba & Bachata and are recognised as the best dance school across the country and Mumbai. We follow the standards laid down by the World Dance Council. What makes us different is that we train our students at a much faster pace and with better end-quality, thus making it finally lighter it cheaper. Our private lessons give individual attention based on his/her needs. Our corporate workshops are very popular due to the international standards maintained and help in team-building. The performances by our troupe is an experience by itself, as we can be compared with the likes of “Dancing with the Stars” with Bolly flavour. Apart from regular group classes for beginners and professional, one of our most sought-after offerings is “Gift a Dance” where you can gift a lesson to your loved one over a romantic candlelight ambience, cake or even wine., thus making the day very, very special. Wedding choreographies and sangeet ceremony for the to-be newlyweds leave a lifetime of memories, given our expertise of making beautiful heartwarming easy-to-do steps but with the illusion of complexity. We take in the age group from 5 years to 70 years. We also cater to students with health issues like Arthritis, Alzheimer, etc., as part of Dance Therapy.
