Vainika Vidushi Vijayalakshmi. G. rao, Principal of Vijaya & Karthik school of Veena & Keyboard - Born into a family of business magnet's in chennai. Owing to my keen interest in finearts & my previous talents made me to learn this sacred art of veena first at chennai under the tutalage of Vidushi Bharathimani & then in bangalore from Vidwan Chengalrayappa, Vidushi Suma Sudhindra, Vidushi Sudha Vadyaraj, Vidwan R.K. Prakash for several years. Atlast i found best master who was profound in knowledge, & a vaggaeyakara world renowned Veena Virtuoso - 'Kalaimamani' R.K. Suryanarayan. From him, I was able to learn the veena Technique's, Tanams, Pallavi's, Musical Composition's of Saint Thyagaraja, Ponderous Majesty of Dikshitar kritis, Shama Shastry's magnificient songs, Almost all different composer's varnamas, darus, javalis, tillana's, kshetragna pada's etc. Has been digested out of which now i am so confident in my variety of playing this devine instrument. Because of my assiduous sadhana, I got many prizes in various music competitions. Giving numerous concerts all over india, besides i love to impart my little knowledge to others. As such i started my own institution for teaching veena & keyboard for all ages.
