My name is Meghamita Mitra, and I own the Megha Mita Cultural Institute, opened in 2005. I am a versatile Kathak performer who started her career at the age of three under the guidance of Smt Susmita Mishra (the renowned exponent of Jaipur Gharana). In my institute, I teach everything from sketching, oil, water, and canvas painting to Kathak, Bollywood, Western, contemporary, folk, and tribal dance. Women, men, and children are welcomed to join these certificate programs on weekends, summer, holidays, evenings, or daily over a period of 1 month to 1 year, and learn in a well-equipped classroom. I received the Chandalika Award in 1999, Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award in 2011, and Sera Bangali in 2009.
